Are you ready to take your Health and Safety expertise to the next level? Join our dynamic team as a Senior Health and Safety Consultant and play a pivotal role in providing high-level technical advice, driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of safety, and delivering impactful solutions to school and regional employees and key stakeholders. This position is offered on a temporary full-time basis for a period of 12 months until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

About the role: As the Senior Health and Safety Consultant, Operations you will:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the department's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System (HSWMS) through the development of policies, procedures, and associated templates and tools. Assist with continual HSW improvement by providing high-level technical advice to school-based or corporate employees, liaising with key stakeholders, and managing specified projects. Responsibilities include: Provision of high-level, accurate health and safety advice to school or regional employees. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of departmental protocols, procedures, and systems used when performing work at a state-wide level. Support school staff including roles such as health and safety advisors (HSA) and health and safety representatives (HSR) through the delivery of high-level technical advice, communication of information, and identification of hazard areas that require greater support. Conduct, or support the conduct, of incident investigations. Participate as a team member of the broader state-wide team to enable delivery of services and support including the development of policies, procedures, and resources. Assist in the delivery of identified priorities including state-wide strategies, communications, key reporting, or delivery of projects.
