Quarry Manager

Management (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time We are looking for a quarry manager to join our team at Port Neill Quarry.
Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the quarry, including the operation and maintenance of the crushing plant and associated equipment.
Plan and coordinate production activities to meet output targets.
Monitor and ensure the optimal performance of the crushing plant, including setting up and adjusting equipment as necessary.
Supervise material processing, ensuring that the correct products are produced to the required specifications.
Coordinate and delegate tasks among team members to ensure efficient workflow and production.
Mentor and train team members on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the crusher and other equipment to ensure they are in safe and optimal working condition.
Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs on crushing and screening equipment as needed.
Schedule and coordinate maintenance and major repairs as required.
Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks with team members.
Identify and address potential hazards, implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and maintenance activities.
Ensure that all operations comply with environmental and health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Assist in maintaining documentation and records related to production, maintenance, safety, and equipment inspections.
Qualifications / Experience Proven experience in quarry operations, with a strong focus on crusher operation and maintenance.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within the quarrying, mining, or construction industries.
Strong knowledge of crushing and screening equipment, including maintenance procedures.
Excellent understanding of safety regulations and best practices in quarry operations.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and carry out basic equipment repairs.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Qualifications in Quarry Management is desirable.
This role includes a company vehicle and mobile phone and is located at Port Lincoln / Port Neill.
