As a result of this expansion, we have a Senior Quality Inspector opening for a well-qualified candidate.
The Senior Quality Inspector measures and assesses raw materials, in-process and finished goods to ensure all customer requirements have been met. This position requires utilizing various tools and methodologies for inspection purposes. It entails meticulous record-keeping of inspections conducted, and in the event of identifying defects, promptly reporting them.
Duties: Develop, implement, and review inspection and testing protocols, including acceptance standards and procedural guidelines for ongoing work processes. Collaborate with manufacturing/production area leaders to conduct root cause analysis and facilitate resolution efforts. Offers suggestions to company leadership regarding the implementation of process improvements for designated programs or product areas. Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications. Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and/or calibration of parts. Recognize any faulty conditions and test failures and compile all necessary documentation and calibration history. Perform inspection on detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and/or parts finish. Interpret specifications, charts and manual and use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Follow the instructions provided in drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer requirements, and military standards and/or calibration procedures. Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures. Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and material checks. Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection cleaning. Adhere to all specified safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a hazard-free work environment. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Advanced knowledge of AS9100 quality standards. Ability to read blueprints is desired. Must have basic computer operation skills. Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the Company. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
