We require a Senior Site Quantity Surveyor to support the Site Construction Management Team, ensuring accuracy and consistency of progress reporting from the Implementation Contractors in accordance with approved procedures.
This role supports the validation of Contractor progress and variation claims and facilitates quantity and productivity trending to support accurate forecasting and management of change.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION Routine update and validation of the Contractors' quantities, direct work hours, and approved schedule in accordance with the Project Contractor Planning, progress, and reporting specifications.Assist the project team with assessment and validation of contractor progress claims, contractor claims for variation, and site instructions.Lead the analysis of quantity and productivity data and trending to support accurate cost and schedule forecasting, and in support of Management of Change.ESSENTIAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Job Specific Detailed knowledge and demonstrated application of the fundamental requirements of quantity surveying, progress measurement, and productivity analysis.Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents; conduct quantity take-offs.Ability to develop or modify a fit-for-purpose estimating and/or quantity work hour report spreadsheet.Quantitative analysis / Mathematical capability.Knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.Highly competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and discipline-specific software and tools.All personnel Pro-active, goal-oriented with excellent attention to detail.Excellent internal project customer focus and able to consistently meet project needs.Effectively manage change to work tasks and the work environment and assist others with adapting to change.A person of integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments.Able to identify issues, problems, and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve performance.Able to work effectively and respectfully in the project team and share and transfer knowledge within the team.Required Experience A minimum of 7 years' technical and practical QS skills in the Mining and Minerals and Infrastructure sector.General Accountabilities Deliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understanding and meeting internal project customer needs.Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to achieving the project Vision and its associated requirements.Always act in the best interests of the project.Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
