Quantity Surveyor – Perth

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team working on our long-term Contract with Transport Scotland to manage and maintain the Scottish Trunk Road Network.You will be based at the office in Perth; however, we do operate a hybrid working model which is currently 3 days office based and 2 days at home.The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week.The Role:As a Quantity Surveyor, your overall objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of the commercial function within the Contract.You will collaborate with the team to:Measure and value progress of works based on a schedule of rates.Collect, collate, and store relevant measurement data.Ensure all site and measurement records are completed by our operational teams.Manage SubContractors including assessing applications, preparing payment notices, monthly liabilities, and accruals.Report the Cost/Value analysis of various sized projects.We want to hear from you if you have any of the below skills:Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management degree/qualification (Essential)Quantity Surveying experienceBackground in civils or construction environments (Desirable)Strong IT skills – particularly Microsoft ExcelAbility to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines.Effective communication and interaction skillsSound knowledge of MMHWWhat we can offer you:A tailored, competitive salary and Benefits package.Pension Scheme – Group Personal Pension Plan matching a contribution of up to 6% and life assurance cover.Annual Leave – up to 34 Days Annual Leave with the option to purchase up to five additional days per annum.
