Quantity Surveyor - Australia

Details of the offer

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost estimating, budgeting, preparing tenders, contract administration, and cost control of construction projects.
You will be required to gather and analyze data relating to project costs, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of all cost-related information.
You will be expected to work closely with the project team and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered within budget and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities: Attend meetings with Clients and Consultants Prepare cost estimates, cost plans and set budgets for projects Undertake measurement for preparation of cost estimates, cost plans and preparation of BQs Come up with potential Value Engineering options for Clients Prepare tender documents Provide contract advice to clients on the form of contract utilized Conduct commercial tender reviews with clients/project managers Assist in the award of tenders Conduct site visits as needed for monthly valuations and assessments of variations Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports for the project team and stakeholders Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for updating pricing Perform other duties as required by clients or management Manage the internal team including coordination with colleagues Participate in internal workshops/training Teamwork within our environment is crucial.
Working within both an internal and external team requires constant communication to execute projects smoothly.

What is required from you Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience 0-10 years of experience in a similar role or related field is required Preference is given to those with Consultant QS related experience Software experience would be preferred: AutoCAD / CostX Characteristics Strong analytical and numerical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Willingness to work on construction sites and travel as required Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and develop skills in quantity surveying #J-18808-Ljbffr
