Work with us and receive great benefits - purchased leave, flexibility and autonomy and a great culture.The RoleBega Group are seeking an experienced Quality Specialist to ensure quality assurance of products, systems and materials and ensure quality is in line with company or national and international standards.Our Malanda dairy site located in tropical North Queensland, manufacturing and distributing a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 40 farms within minutes from the factory.The site currently produces around 42 million litres of product every year – operating 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.Across Queensland, we proudly source milk from around 80 dairy farms in the south-east and far north and are passionate about supporting locally produced products.This is a full-time standard Mon-Fri position, however we are open to part-time.ResponsibilitiesQuality Testing – finished products, semi-finished products, raw ingredients.Analysis of Quality Management System (QMS) and processes through audits and data analysis.Plan, control and monitor corrective actions from non-conformities detected in audits.Prepare reports and publish timelines in order to provide feedback and improve the management system through technical support.About youExperienced in working with quality standards and able to work unsupervised (1-3 years' experience).Educational background – Ba/Ma/PhD in Food Science & Technology, Nutrition or related field.Previous exposure to HACCP/GMP and solid process knowledge in food safety and quality requirements – Dairy preferred but not essential.Preferred exposure to CFMSR/BRC/Safe Food Queensland auditing standards.Exposure to SAPQM and INTELEX or related products.ApplicationsAt Bega Group, diversity and inclusion is a business priority, we want everyone to be themselves regardless of their background, religion, sexual orientation, age or gender so we can truly reflect the customers and communities that we serve.
