This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Pyrmont, Sydney. There are approximately 160 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 300 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.
About the role DroneShield is seeking a Quality Management System (QMS) Officer with relevant experience to join the team in Sydney.
The position will report to Quality Manager. As a Quality Management System (QMS) Officer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining DroneShield's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO standards. Your experience in implementing QMS will be instrumental in ensuring that our products and services meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.Develop and maintain quality risk management policies, processes and procedures to support QMS implementation and improvement.Undertake quality risk assessments and maintain and update the Risk Register.Identify, assess and monitor quality risks and gather and analyse risk data to produce risk reports.Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement.Manage documentation related to the QMS, including policies, procedures, and records. Drive continuous improvement efforts and monitor and analyse quality performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues.Provide training to employees on QMS requirements and quality standards. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Proficient in ISO standards, including ISO 9001: 2015 with 3-5 years of experience operating and administering QMS.Skilled in conducting audits, analysing findings, and implementing corrective actions.Analytical skills to assess quality performance using data and metrics.Meticulous attention to detail for ensuring compliance with standards.Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with teams and stakeholders to achieve quality objectives.Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.Certification in Quality Management is preferred.Proven experience in establishing and maintaining a Quality Management System for technology companies.Strong understanding of ISO requirements and quality management principles.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
