The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading renewable energy organization on a 3-month fixed-term contract starting in January 2025. This role will play a key part in ensuring the effective delivery of renewable energy projects by implementing QMS and Project Quality Plans, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project expectations. Reporting directly to the Head of Construction Quality, you will act as the key focal point for quality assurance on project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure projects comply with all statutory, regulatory, and industry quality standards.Act as the first point of contact for all project-related quality concerns.Manage and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective action plans are implemented.Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, provide detailed reports, and track progress on corrective actions.Conduct audits of processes and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to quality expectations.Coordinate inspections of key wind turbine generator (WTG) components.Review and validate supplier and site quality performance and records.Ensure closure of all quality-related activities during the project closeout process.Contribute to regular quality reporting and provide insights for operational performance tracking.What We're Looking For: Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineer role or similar quality assurance position within the energy industry.Applied knowledge of quality assurance, inspections, and compliance processes within renewable energy or technical environments.Internal QMS Auditor qualifications are essential.A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred but not required.Proven experience conducting audits, supplier inspections, and leading RCA investigations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience driving continuous improvement.Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.What's on Offer: Competitive daily rate for the 3-month contract period.A dynamic, collaborative work environment focused on delivering renewable energy projects.The opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and further develop expertise in quality assurance processes within renewable energy.
