Job Description The Project ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to West Connex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney. Project scope includes: Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway The Opportunity In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for a Quality Coordinator to join the Western Harbour Tunnel Project. Key accountabilities for the position: Interpret and implement project requirements according to specifications, codes, and standards. Monitor and report compliance with the Project Quality Plan, specifications, and field quality control procedures. Coordinate and conduct inspections as per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Provide technical quality support to construction teams and ensure correct documentation in Work Packs and Requisitions. Maintain the calibration register and ensure calibrated measuring devices are available. Verify qualifications and experience of personnel, including subcontractors, for inspection activities. Prepare and compile inspection records, ensure quality records are completed, and assist with the resolution of technical non-conformances. Generate accurate status reports and ensure timely closeout of Non-Conformance Records (NCRs). Required Skills and Competencies Capability & Experience you will need to have: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or similar) Previous experience in a similar position Well-developed MS Office skills, especially Excel Excellent problem-solving abilities Prior experience working for a tier 1 contractor on major infrastructure projects Clear communication skills; adept at building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
