Based across the Fraser Coast, Qld - Working together to help "Close The Gap". We are a Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) established in 2007. With two clinics and an outreach clinic and growing across the Wide Bay region, we currently provide health care services for more than 3,000 Indigenous residents.
Our Board of Directors represents the communities we serve, ensuring every decision we make helps equip local people to take control of their lives and pro-actively manage their health.

We have a position available for Quality Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to making a direct impact on improved health outcomes in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure development, management, implementation and review of Quality systems.
Key Responsibilities Knowledge of cultural protocols (local)Has a sound understanding and knowledge of health and social issues, and the impact on overall health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes, within Community Controlled Health philosophy and in conjunction with the model of careHighly developed communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with members of the Board, executive and senior clinical and non-clinical staff.At least 3 years' experience working within a Quality Management System including CQI / Administration / AuditDemonstrated understanding of quality management principles and practices with an emphasis on continuous quality improvement and organisational change.Demonstrated understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, RACGP standards, including WH&S, QLD Building Fire Safety, ISO 9001:2015 and internal Audit processesWork to foster productive relationships with all clinic, program and support staff.Act within the practice guidelines, AHPRA regulations, codes of ethics and at an appropriate level of clinical competence alwaysChampion Galangoor's "We Will & I Will Statements" both internally and externally to the wider communityWhat we can offer you Competitive Salary Package – including Salary SacrificeAnnual leave as per the awardPlus Superannuation as per awardBlue Card, National Police Check, Drivers LicenceFirst Aid & CPRAnd the chance to enjoy a healthy work/life balance and soak up the idyllic environment and close sense of community that only a regional area like the Fraser Coast has to offer.

Diploma - Auditing or certificate in Internal auditing course; or working towards qualification, and/orDiploma - WHS Certificate qualification or equivalent; or working towards qualification, and/orAHPRA Registration as a Practitioner (Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Registered Nurse)Ability to effectively work within a diverse interdisciplinary team which includes a range of clinical team, non-clinical team and community membersExemplary interpersonal communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonalCommitment to patient centric careExcellent data entry skills and meticulous attention to detailIt would also be beneficial if you have: Experience in or a demonstrated commitment to improving Indigenous Health outcomes.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social determinants of health issues affecting Indigenous people and how Primary Health Care principles apply in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health setting.Commitment to and understanding of the characteristics of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.While knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture is helpful, what will really see you thrive in our community is an open mind, willingness to be exposed to culture, and curiosity.
