About the role We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Industrialisation team with direct responsibility for inspecting and measuring incoming vendor parts as well as parts manufactured in house.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings with a thorough understanding of tolerancing and datum standards.
You should be comfortable with both hands in measurement methods as well as computer aided machines such as CMM and tensile testing.
Familiarity with programming such machines will be a big bonus.
Role responsibilities Design and execute experiments to ensure the cell/stack meet the performance and reliability requirements; Interpret test results to provide the rest of the Hysata team feedback for product design; Characterise cells and perform validation tests to improve established procedures for assembly of electrochemical devices; Collaborate with team members to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise; Be involved in data reviews to enable data driven learning; and Provide input on SOPs and safety protocols for new and existing laboratory processes.
What you'll bring Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings CMM programming and operation experience or similar (CNC prog.) GD&T experience Manual inspection of parts Work with engineering teams to improve product and process through continuous improvement Complete internal and external inspection reports Proficient use of hand measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier callipers, thread gauges Hands on and practical approach to work Effective communication Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints Valued skills Experience in similar role or workshop/tool shop environment Experience in using computer-aided design (Siemens NX preferred); Contributed to delivering complex projects requiring new process technology and new equipment development, including process and equipment specification; Fabrication experience – hands-on R&D, design, build, test; Experience with introduction of new processes and optimising in a manufacturing scale-up environment with best practice methods; PFMEA, QA/QC, SOP, design and process validation Contributed to product design and development through DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly), DFMEA, validation testing, materials selection, process technology selection; Possess the ability to be a clear and open communicator; Motivated, capable of working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment; Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment; and Experience with electrolysers, battery or energy storage systems a plus.
