Quality Control Inspector (Day Shift) - Minto Based Why Join Us

Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the achievement of the daily QC plan to standard. The role will cover the afternoon shift, working 6am to 2pm (Monday to Friday).
Areas of Responsibility Verify work order instructions against specifications.Verify incoming raw materials (yarn) against master.Carry out batch matching of yarn and update records promptly and accurately.Maintain all yarn master books as new yarns are introduced.Conduct in-process inspections on all lines.Perform all required testing of finished product and document results.Monitor QC test results and ensure products released comply with specifications.Prompt communication of quality concerns to supervisors and technical staff to ensure faults are corrected in a timely manner.Inspect returned product, complete JDE returns transactions, and update returns database promptly and accurately.Conduct batch matching of finished product in response to customer requests and proactively to reduce underutilised storage space in the warehouse.Inspect imported stock flagged by Warehouse as non-conforming and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.Support the Lab with adhoc sampling.Carry out other adhoc duties as directed by Team Leader or QESH Manager.Perform scheduled internal audits (trained personnel only).Qualifications And Experience Required Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality frameworks and principles.Completed training to L3 in matrix.Experience using JD Edwards is considered an asset.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing priorities.Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills required, fluent in English (written and oral).Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.Internal Audit certificate highly desirable.Benefits Annual bonusAfternoon shift allowanceRDOAt INTERFACE, we provide parking on-site.Gym membership and Health insurance discount, Yearly flu shots, and more.You will be part of a diverse and vibrant team with an excellent culture.About UsAt Interface, we believe that flooring is more than what you walk on.
