The Role The Quality Manager will work closely with logistics, production, engineering and the planning & operations teams to ensure incoming/outgoing parts and materials meet quality standards while promoting cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
They will be responsible for identifying, reporting and resolving quality issues with minimal impact to business outcome and customer needs.
Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will:
Ensure compliance with the AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard and report on its performance to Senior Management for review and to drive continuous improvement of the management systems.Provide timely quality reports to the business.Lead and support the QA Inspectors in 'end of line' inspections, providing them with tools, instructions, and guidance to maintain quality at floor level, and ensure they are adequately trained and developed.Ensure the quality management system meets business and certification needs by setting up a review mechanism to highlight critical concerns to the management team.Develop, implement, and manage KPIs to measure quality and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to define supplier quality requirements and criteria to ensure supplier capabilities meet program requirement standards.Undertake root cause analysis of all quality issues and implement pragmatic strategies to mitigate recurrence of similar issues.Lead quality initiatives to ensure that the Company achieves its goals.Responsible for updating and managing the quality budget within area of responsibility.To be considered for the position, candidates will need to demonstrate: 5+ years of quality assurance experience (Automotive Industry experience preferred)Expert knowledge of materials and technical specifications relevant to automotive environmentsExperience in developing and maintaining quality systems and processesISO9001 experienceSolid understanding of six sigma and lean processesVerbal reasoning skillsSpatial reasoning skillsPersonal attributes: Strategic mindsetTeam orientedAccountability mindset and actionsProcess drivenInterpersonal skillsProblem-solvingProactiveFlexibleWhat we Offer Competitive salary packageAccess to employee well-being programs, free flu vaccinations, general counsellingEqual opportunity workplace with a commitment to diversity & inclusion and gender-diverse policiesOpportunity to grow your career across an expanding businessYour application will include the following questions:
