About the opportunity:
In this position you will lead in Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) auditing by identifying non-compliance, preparing homes for accreditation, and supporting unannounced assessments by ACQSC and NDIS. Support homes in managing safety, enhancing resident outcomes, and ensuring evidence-based care delivery aligned with best practices.
Key activities: Collaborate, coach, and support Homes to achieve and maintain compliance, identifying gaps and providing feedback to enhance understanding and operations. Develop the knowledge and capability of Operational Management and Leadership Teams in clinical governance and compliance. Conduct internal audits (on-site and remote) based on risk assessments, ensuring coverage of ACQSC and NDIS Standards. Develop and implement Plans for Continuous Improvement (PCI) with the Operations team to sustain compliance. Support accreditation preparation for ACQSC and NDIS, providing remote or on-site assistance as required. Actively identify improvement opportunities, coaching clinical leaders to enhance resident outcomes and documentation quality. We would love to hear from you if you have: Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse with at least 4 years of experience. Proven expertise in clinical governance and quality compliance. Strong leadership with emotional intelligence to influence effectively. Skilled in report writing, communication, and clinical information systems. Proficient in analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder demands. Comprehensive understanding of aged care legislation, standards, and quality improvement guidelines.
