What You Will Do As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll play a vital role across corporate and floor-level operations, bringing structure and consistency to our quality assurance practices:
Full Scope Quality Role: Design and implement robust quality management systems (QMS) to meet and exceed compliance standards, ensuring products are built to specification.Collaborate Nationally: Liaise with our head office in Brisbane to stay informed on national rollouts, standards updates, and improvements in systems like Donesafe.Process Improvement: Actively monitor and refine quality procedures, identifying non-conformances and leading efforts to prevent recurrence, including organising follow-up meetings with stakeholders.Inspect and Report: Conduct thorough inspections and lead client walkthroughs to showcase quality assurance practices, and provide performance reports to stakeholders to track quality metrics and improvement areas.Policy & Procedure Oversight: Implement and enhance policies, ensuring we have a solid QA program in place and that all builds adhere to quality and safety standards.Hands-On Floor Engagement: Spend about half of your time on the production floor, working closely with manufacturing teams, addressing issues, and ensuring high-quality standards.Non-Conformance Management: Monitor non-conformances, take corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Provider Profiles & Compliance: Help develop provider profiles and improve processes to support both national and site-specific quality objectives.What You Will Bring To succeed in this role, we're looking for a quality-focused professional who aligns with ATCO's values of agility, integrity, caring, collaboration, and safety.
Specifically, you should bring:
Relevant Experience: Prior experience in Quality Management, ideally within the construction or modular building industry, with a solid understanding of QMS, ISO 9001, and construction standards.Construction Knowledge: A background in building or construction is preferred, with familiarity in applying and adhering to national standards.Process Improvement: Proficiency in business improvement methods such as Lean Management.Effective Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both corporate and floor-level teams, as well as senior management.Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse quality and performance metrics, with strong knowledge of safety guidelines and requirements.Adaptability: Agility to handle changes, especially when national initiatives affect local standards and practices, such as updates to Donesafe or Inspection Test Plans (ITP).If you are ready to drive quality in an industry-leading modular construction company and make an impact both on the ground and at the corporate level, we encourage you to apply today!
