After the recent completion of several local acquisitions, FibreCycle is about to embark on an exciting period of transformation, with rapid growth and expansion plans worldwide.
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our technical team to manage a comprehensive quality management program ensuring all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements as related to the manufacture of product are met.
A minimum of three years' experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment along with a Bachelor of Food Science or similar with a strong understanding of pet food, BRC, and consumer goods standards will be key to success in this role.
The key duties of the role include:
Responsible for the implementation and management of quality systems to ensure product safety and quality requirements are met
Responsible for mitigating risk of non-conformances against internal, customer, and regulatory specifications and requirements
Ensure all requirements for each individual site's certifications are met
Prepare and send product for shelf-life testing, mandatory microbial testing, and individual customer testing requirements
Review production paperwork, conduct inline checks, and test product prior to release
Develop and maintain a training register across sites to meet the requirements of the QMS
Deliver team member training on quality processes to ensure requirements are understood and met. Update and deliver refresher training as required due to changes to product, process, or certification requirements
Communicate non-conformances and corrective actions to team members, mitigating the risk of future occurrences
