As a leader in the fresh produce market, Fresh Fruit Company is now seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join their team, who will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of quality and driving continuous improvement in fruits wholesale operations.
The Quality Assurance Manager will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the deployment of quality systems and inspection processes within the business. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that QA is carried out in a safe and timely manner and your team is achieving exceptional results.
This is an opportunity for a meticulous Quality Assurance Manager to drive continuous improvement of the company's quality assurance approach, inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying non-conformity issues.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the produce meets the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the distribution process.
Minimum Requirements: Relevant qualification at the level of an Australian qualification's framework equivalent bachelor's degree or higher, and at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
In this role your main responsibilities include: Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Oversee all aspects of quality control, including produce inspection, and documentation.Conduct regular audits of suppliers and distribution facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.Train and mentor staff on quality assurance protocols and best practices.Continuously monitor and improve quality systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Identify the quality assurance activities necessary for the performance of obligations under the relevant organisation agreement through the use of quality plans, as appropriate.Identify trends, best practices, achievement of goals and objectives and areas needing improvement by monitoring different teams.Provide an enthusiastic and positive approach to quality and compliance for the business activities.Implement, develop and maintain quality system policies.Develop robust processes to ensure produce is delivered on-time, of the desired quality, and in a safe manner.Perform Internal Quality Audits and organise external audits for the business.Co-ordinate with other departments regarding non-conformance & corrective action for the same.Checking of produce for compliance with specifications.Minimize the impact to the environment during the distribution process.Manage produce recalls and withdrawals and conduct traceability procedures during produce recall.Make recommendations on improving quality best practices within the company.To be considered for this role you must have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance management, preferably in the food industry.In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory requirements for food products.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.Current and working HACCP knowledge.You will have demonstrated capability in developing and maintaining successful quality frameworks and proven experience delivering business outcomes through management system processes. Salary: $112,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
