Quality Assurance Manager - Food ManufacturingConnectAPAC are exclusively engaged with a repeat FMCG client of ours on the Sunshine Coast as we recruit a newly created Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager role to report into the COO.The business:Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business that manufactures and distributes some of Coles/Woolies' best-known products and has been around for the last 90 years!It is a family-owned, 100% Australian business that has grown from the love of sharing great quality food. The business is on an exciting 'ramp-up' period with new talent, processes, and systems being introduced to support growth for 2025 and beyond with strong financial backing from a larger group.Responsibilities:Manage a team of 3 x QA Supervisors.Conduct and report on routine audits, inspections, and reviews as required.Provide internal training to new and existing staff as required.Assist in maintaining site HACCP Program, Quality Management System, and Document Control System.Collaborate with other departments to promote a positive, action-focused, improvement culture in line with company values.Take responsibility for learning and development to grow expertise in current systems and processes.Assist in site compliance requirements and validation/verification activities.Undertake investigations of customer complaints.Key experience needed:Experience in a food safety/quality role, ideally within the FMCG industry.Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety principles.Demonstrated ability to cope with high volume workload and achieve set deadlines within a commercial environment.Proven management experience, setting KPIs and succession planning.Experience using an ERP system or QA system.Process-driven with attention to detail.Application: If this role sounds of interest, simply click APPLY and James Slaven will handle your application in confidence.PLEASE NOTE: You must have Australian working rights to be considered.
