Fliteboard is a highly successful Australian enterprise whose innovative electric foiling water craft have won international design awards and a cult following with 'efoil' customers in Australia and around the world. Headquartered in Byron Bay, the business is now backed by a market leading global enterprise and is committed to staying at the forefront of a niche and rapidly growing segment of the high-end consumer lifestyle market.
Reporting to the Production Director you will primarily be accountable for the integrity and ongoing development of quality assurance processes, systems and controls across the full life cycle of Flite's product portfolio. You will lead and manage a small team, using your technical subject matter expertise and your business partnering skills to work collegially with internal stakeholders in design & engineering, new product development, manufacturing and product improvement in order to ensure that quality controls, process improvement opportunities, root cause analysis, regulatory compliance and internal audit objectives are achieved. In addition, your scope will include building collaborative working relationships with external stakeholders, both locally and overseas, in order to ensure that quality assurance processes, systems and controls are maintained and continue to effectively meet the best practice requirements of a growing international business.
This is a key appointment within a highly successful and entrepreneurial enterprise which prides itself on delivering an exceptional customer experience and represents a rare opportunity for an experienced QA/QC professional to join an award winning enterprise whilst working in the highly enviable surroundings of Byron Bay. Your relevant technical expertise should have been gained in a production environment (exposure to composites design & production and CNC injection molding/manufacturing would be highly regarded). Your commercial acumen will also be important as you deliver rigorous quality management outcomes which also pragmatically support the commercial objectives of the business. Equally importantly you will be able to demonstrate prior experience in driving continuous improvements in quality control systems & processes and a flair for building strong collaborative working relationships across diverse groups of stakeholders.
