They continually adapt their methodologies and take a tailored approach to every brief.The RoleAs a Research Director you will lead on projects from pitch to presentation, writing winning proposals, leading client relationships, designing approaches, and managing project teams.As well as remaining hands-on with the day to day you will be responsible for thought leadership, being a senior industry voice and expert in your field.You will likely have some direct reports, acting as an inspiring leader and playing a key role in guiding them in their professional development.Specialising in qualitative methodologies you will work broadly across social issues such as family violence, disability, care, and mental wellbeing, and some commercial challenges - this could include retail, financial services, utilities. Projects will be an eclectic mix, but you can expect to dig your teeth into social marketing, behaviour change, communications campaign research, strategy, and policy evaluation.About youA qualitative researcher or qual-leaning dualist, you will be an expert at all the traditional qual methodologies (focus groups, interviews, observational/ethnographic research) but also be someone who embraces new digital methods and approaches rooted in human centred design and behavioural economics. You will be able to talk quant with clients, but expertise on this side is not required.As well as being a strong research practitioner you will have commercial gravitas and love building strong lasting relationships with clients. You will be approachable, collaborative, a strong communicator with passion and positivity.Expertise in the social and government or commercial research space will be considered, but you must have gained significant experience in an agency environment and be excited to work across a juicy mix of sectors and projects.Management and leadership skills will also be essential.
