As a key player in the Defence industry, UGL plays a crucial role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide. From operations and maintenance to asset management and fuel supply services, our team's expertise ensures we deliver effectively and sustainably.
As a result of expanding scope of works within UGL's portfolio, we are seeking qualified Aviation Tanker Drivers to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Richmond RAAF Base, NSW.
The Role Lead by an Operations Supervisor, the following roles will be based in Sydney's North-West area of Richmond, supporting a major fuel installation in the region.
Operate fuel tanker truck around the fuel installation and the defence base.Work closely with operator to safely load your fuel tank truck with required fuel.Deliver the fuel to the designated fuel point i.e., refuelling point, aircraft on the runway etc.Operate pumps on tanker truck to ensure effective delivery of fuel to aircraft.Communicate with internal and external team to ensure good customer experience.Support the broader operations team and perform duties within the fuel installation when required.What you Need You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. We expect the successful applicants to have the following:
HC/MC Drivers Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence.Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential.Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded.Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team.Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances.Live locally, or willing to relocate to Richmond, NSW or nearby suburbs.What we Offer This is an opportunity to join UGL as a full-time employee, on a long-term contract within the Defence sector.
