About the role Blakeview Primary School OSHC is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified and Unqualified Educators to join our vibrant team. Our service provides care for children from preschool through to Year 6, creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
We offer a range of flexible shifts to accommodate our before and after school care program:
Before School Care: 6:30am – 8:30amAfter School Care: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (with an early finish on Thursdays: 2:20pm – 6:00pm)School Holiday Care: 6:30am – 6:30pm, with full-day shifts available.Successful applicants should be available to work across all care sessions, including both before and after school care and during the school holiday periods.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to: Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being, providing individual support and comfort as needed.Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs based on the National Quality Standard and My Time, Our Place Learning Framework. Support educators in planning activities for individual children or groups.Prepare materials, set up, and lead activities that align with the educational program, fostering a stimulating and enriching environment for children. Encourage active participation and engagement in both structured and free-play activities.Record observations of individual children and groups for program planning and developmental assessments.Support the service in maintaining compliance with OSHC National Quality Standards, ensuring the program meets high-quality educational and care standards.Assist in providing an inclusive environment that meets the needs of all children, including those with additional needs, and support the involvement of families from diverse backgrounds.Work collaboratively with other educators and team members to ensure the smooth running of the OSHC program. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training as required.Display initiative by ensuring that all areas are cleaned and tidied efficiently at the end of each shift. Provide a welcoming, professional environment for families, offering consistently high-quality customer service.Maintain confidentiality at all times, respecting the privacy of children, families, students, and colleagues, in accordance with service policies.Perform a variety of specific tasks as directed, including supervising children, running activities, food preparation, and assisting with daily routines to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the program. Valid working with children check (WWCC)
Completed full Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RAHN)
Qualified positions must have ACECQA approved qualifications.
Have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Availability of minimum 2 afternoons per week during term time
