As part of a national team expanding in Queensland, this role requires effective and professional leadership at a pivotal stage of growth.You will be working closely with local Directors in Queensland and the National Water Lead in Sydney to enhance BG&E's presence in Queensland.What to expect:Leading packages for major road, rail, and metro infrastructure projects, including flooding and water input into detailed design, while managing communication with clients and stakeholders.Delivering technical solutions for disaster recovery projects, flood studies, risk management plans, evacuation management, and impact assessments.Providing technical review and mentorship to junior staff, offering guidance and expertise.Serving as an independent verifier for projects, ensuring quality and accuracy.About youYou will have a developed technical understanding of the principles and approaches of ARR2019 and of relevant local and state flooding legislation and policy and approval pathways.Experience and or existing relationships within the relevant state authorities in your region such as TMR etc. You will be experienced in cross-drainage design principals, flood mitigation and management for major infrastructure projects.The successful candidate will also possess an advanced understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages, such as RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and their advantages and limitations.Experience using 12d, DRAINS and MUSIC, will also be highly considered.Life at BG&EFlexible working arrangements achieving real work-life balance.Social clubs and a friendly and social working environment.Health and wellbeing support via confidential EAP program.Competitive remuneration, compensation, and Parental Leave.On-the-job coaching to help you be the best you can be – network of global experts, a true focus on your professional development to grow your career at BG&E.Learning and development initiatives.Diversity and InclusionEquality is part of BG&E's DNA.
