ABOUT THE ROLE: Newlands Group have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced QHSE Advisor to join our team.
Reporting to the QHSE Manager, in this role you will drive QHSE compliance and procedures across projects, ensuring works are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
As a QHSE Advisor at Newlands Group, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our workforce and driving a culture of safety and quality across multiple civil and commercial projects.
Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting regular site-based inspections and task observations.Developing and reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and project documentation.Providing support for the HammerTech safety system to project teams.Conducting internal audits and supporting third-party audits as required.Leading site toolbox meetings and facilitating safety discussions.Driving safety initiatives to improve performance and outcomes.Delivering safety training programs to promote continuous improvement.Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents, and non-conformances, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Conducting risk assessments and overseeing accident prevention programs.ABOUT YOU: The successful candidate will have:
Cert IV WHS (minimum)Current Drivers Licence and White CardMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry.Strong knowledge of legislation relevant to the construction industry.ICAM investigation trainingExperience in internal auditingCert IV in Training and AssessingStrong organisational, communication and time management skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to build trusted relationships with staff, subcontractors and external stakeholders.WHY WORK FOR NEWLANDS?
