Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Control Manager. As a pivotal team member working alongside the Grading Floor Manager and 2IC, this position will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality eggs from our Grading Floor.
Daily duties will include but not be limited to: Ensure adherence to legislation, including Safe-Food Queensland, SQF, HACCP, and Food Standards Australia. Uphold McLean Farms' internal quality standards and practices through robust testing, monitoring, and recording procedures. Prioritise alignment with customer quality standards. Oversee the development and implementation of extensive testing procedures. Oversee or personally undertake testing, documentation, and reporting related to egg quality and safety. Conduct investigations, root cause analyses, and implement Corrective Actions (CARs) in response to customer complaints. Communicate and update relevant stakeholders on quality control issues. About you: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Quality Management, or related). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or management role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. In-depth understanding of legislative requirements, including Safe-Food Queensland, SQF, HACCP, and Food Standards Australia. Familiarity with quality control protocols, documentation, and traceability practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software.
