Environmental Conditions: Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Location / Division Specific Information: The QC Physio-chemistry and Raw Materials team is based in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. They play a crucial role in producing and approving pharmaceuticals at our site.
Position Summary: This team is primarily responsible for performing physio-chemistry analysis on various samples. We are a rapidly expanding site with ever growing career opportunities for dedicated individuals. What You'll Do: Involved in day to day lab running, including planning of activities and resources, execution of analysis (including but not limited to: FTIR, RAMAN, TOC, pH, Osmolality, Conductivity). Co-ordinate Raw Material testing/release in accordance to relevant Pharmacopoeia (BP, EP, JP, USP, etc).Peer review and technical review of analyses for completeness and cGMP compliance.Take a leading role within the team in practical application of the Quality System related to the QC Department, including Change Control, Deviations, CAPA, OOS/OOT, and Documentation Management.Keys to Success: Education: Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology, Chemistry, or closely related degree) or equivalent experience. Post Graduate qualifications – beneficial.
Experience: At least 2 years' experience in the biopharmaceutical and/or pharmaceutical industry aligned to Analytical and Quality Control fields. Strong background in analytical theory and technical proficiency with laboratory analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledgeable in cGMP practices. Knowledgeable with various Physio-chemistry laboratory analyses, efficient sample workflows, in process controls and analytical testing, and area/equipment within the QC Laboratories. Ability to work in a multifaceted, frequently changing environment with a wide variety of people and perspectives. Capable of effectively communicating in multiple modalities (e.g. electronic, written, verbal, etc.)
