Our client, a world leader in polymers and extruded film materials, is seeking an experienced QC Chemist to join their team in Melbourne SE Suburbs.
This family-owned organisation is located in the SE suburbs of Melbourne, has on site.
Due to an internal retirement, they are seeking a very experienced Chemist who comes with background in Polymer Chemistry ideally in unsaturated polyester resins to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
About The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will analyse raw material, in-process and finished products via basic wet chemical techniques such as viscosity, gel times and basic physical tests.
There may be an opportunity to be involved in some research and development.
Previous experience in the polymer or paint industry in preferred.
Skills & Experience
QC testing of raw material, in-process and finished Products Approving batches Assisting in warehouse duties Calibrating smaller instrumentation
This role will involve interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders so excellent communication skills are a must.
As the successful candidate you will have completed a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) or a related discipline.
You will be a quality-focused individual with excellent attention to detail, have good communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
