This role is within the Consumer Technology team, which utilizes a wide range of technologies to design, architect, develop, and support solutions for both internal and external customers.

This is a unique opportunity for a results-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to analyse, troubleshoot, optimize, and deliver high-quality banking products for our clients.

Main Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for Quality Assurance of the shippable product, while actively participating in all agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, Estimation, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives) to ensure every user story meets the Definition of Done (DOD).Identify and escalate defects found during testing according to set procedures to ensure timely resolution, minimizing impact on project quality and schedule.Manage test infrastructure, execute automated tests, and continuously maintain automated test cases.Write and execute test cases.Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance mobile app performance.Determine the automatable and non-automatable test scope for each Sprint/Release.Perform both automated and manual validation/testing of banking apps on Mobile (IOS + Android), and desktop platforms.Conduct functional and non-functional testing of banking products.Document and share knowledge across teams.Perform accessibility testing of Mobile and Desktop.Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers.Support the growth of the engineering community through participation in grad and intern programs.Advocate for and contribute to the wider development and engineering community by participating in development guilds for knowledge sharing and learning.Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to develop a strong understanding of the systems and testing objectives.Ability to write clear bug reports quickly and concisely and collaborate with developers to get them fixed. What do I need? Essential: Industry recognised Testing certifications (e.g. ISQTB Foundation, ASQTB Mobile Testing, Automation etc.)Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and vendor partners, both on and offshore.At least 5 years of experience in automation and functional testing.Proficiency in API testing with tools such as POSTMAN, Charles, and BURP.Experience in web app automation using Playwright.Strong skills in both automation and manual testing.Familiarity with programming languages like JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, or C#.Experience with code management tools like Git or similar.Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray, and Confluence.Ability to ensure test case traceability with requirements using tools like JIRA and X-Ray.Experience in accessibility testing using JAWS for web and VoiceOver for mobile devices.Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively with the business.A growth mindset and a willingness to take on challenges.Proven experience in writing test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test reports.Proactive attitude and a sense of responsibility. Desirable: Proficiency in working with various databases and coding languages, including Java, HTML, XML, and JSON feeds.Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar.Knowledge of test-driven development using frameworks like Jest.Expertise in automation testing using Appium, Playwright and or Selenium.Previous experience in the banking sector is a plus.
