Testing & Quality Assurance (Information & Communication Technology) Full time The role is required to lead a small team and refine and implement the Automation Strategy across several platform teams, expanding the automation footprint to a high level of maturity. The role will require senior stakeholder management, presenting and reporting.
Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesSenior stakeholder management, presenting and reporting ROI & complex metricsManage automation resources to automate progression and regression test casesAdopt and drive an Automation 1st PolicyHiring Automation resources as requiredBuild a centralised Automation Community of Practice to support teams with automation maturityBuild out automation, hands on, applying best practices, ensuring roadmap milestones are metIncrease coverage with automation assets compared to manual assetsSet up Production automation and automated reporting to stakeholdersRefine the existing Automation framework. Define and implement roadmaps that deliver on expected automation outcomes for all teamsRecommend improvements such as open source tooling and resource requirements to provide cost benefitsWho are you?Solid working knowledge of code branching and sequencingExtensive experience working with Github and multiple automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, PlaywrightStrong negotiation skills with a desire to innovateSolid understanding of technology operations and strategyExtensive experience leading teams both on and offshore, hiring automation resources as neededProject Management experience is not required but beneficialExcellent communication and collaboration skills and a strong ability to manage senior relationshipsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentProactive, high attention to detail, with ability to meet aggressive deadlines with commitment to qualityTeam player, willing to help where and when neededExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBenefitsNews Benefits is our way of saying thank you to our people for their valued contribution to News, our audiences, clients and communities.
