Job Description – AWS Migration Lead
A key member of the AWS delivery team comprised of multiple associates working together to migrate, modernize, and enhance existing applications and develop new business solutions. Participate in customer solutions in all aspects of architecture, design, and development. Work with customer stakeholders and application owners to design and implement AWS-based solutions for large enterprise customers. Multiple AWS migration project experiences in ANZ geography as part of DC-Exit or business/technology transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities: Full cloud adoption delivery responsibility – deal due diligence to assessment to migration/modernization and design and implementation of modern cloud operating model. Participate in deals due diligence to produce high-level solution to respond to the client requirements. Formulate Cloud Strategies aligned with customer's business objectives and with a focus on Cloud Migrations and Modernization. Nurture Cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive Cloud Adoption. Take ownership of technology deliverables across AWS migration projects. Experience in cloud assessment/migration accelerators from AWS/other cloud providers as well as 3rd party tools such as Cloudscape or Device42.
Required Skills: AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate (Professional preferred). AWS based Cloud Architecture and migration. Strong experience and knowledge of AWS services, service models such as IaaS, PaaS – relative risks and benefits. Strong understanding across AWS Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end AWS Cloud architectures and designs. Prior application/infrastructure delivery or software development experience on enterprise technologies such as Java, .NET. Experience with solution architecture for cloud/on-premises solutions and deep understanding of technology and related challenges around technology currency, operations, security, performance, minimal downtime migration, and resilience. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and able to take initiative and make things happen. Strong consulting skills including interacting with and presenting to senior and technical stakeholders to gain buy-in. Strong facilitation skills to ensure realization of architectural vision and operating models. Desired Experience Range: 10-15 Years
