We are looking for a dedicated PV Engineer who will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our assets at our Aldoga Solar Farm.
Our Aldoga Solar Farm is located near Gladstone, and part of the Queensland Government's strategy to revitalise underutilised land while driving economic growth and contributing to the state's renewable energy targets with the operation of a 380MW solar facility.

Job Description Maintenance Strategy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards, develop and implement maintenance strategies for PV projects, and create technical documents for preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.Technical Support and Issue Resolution: Provide technical assistance to PV plants, troubleshoot issues, analyse alarms, and coordinate with field teams to enhance plant reliability and performance.Risk Identification and Performance Monitoring: Monitor PV plant operations, identify technology risks through trend analysis, and use Root Cause Analysis to address failure modes and improve asset availability.Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and Grid Code departments, and ensure proper reporting of KPIs, maintenance plans, and other internal/external requirements.Electrical and Safety Protocols: Define electrical switching plans for safe operations and work with the team to ensure compliance with safety protocols in power stations and PV fields.Required Skills and Competencies Must have completed a Bachelor degree or equivalent technical competence in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems or related discipline.Must have relevant experience in a PV reliability engineering or related role within the renewable sector.Exposure to PV technology, modelling, and business systems advantageous.Advanced communication skills and proven interpersonal abilities in a professional setting.Well organized and able to manage changing priorities.Must be able to travel for training and meetings to various locations (including international).In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW).Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.As a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
