Harvey Norman Commercial Project Division is a leading supplier of sanitary ware and appliances to the Victorian building, plumbing and development sectors. We are rapidly expanding in the Victorian market and are looking for a skilled Purchasing Officer to join the busy team located in Laverton North. Our offer is unique to the market as we can provide a full product solution for our core customer's needs; Architects, Builders, Designers, Developers and Plumbers.
In this role you will: Purchase stock from a variety of suppliers to meet deadlines and maintain stock levelsOrganise stock call-ups in line with customer project schedulesEnsure best possible pricing is obtained using various resourcesReview backorders and follow up delivery times with suppliers dailyKeep relevant departments informed of back orders and due datesAnswer internal and external queries regarding purchase to assist our end customerAssist and respond to any purchasing discrepanciesLiaise with suppliers & maintain relationshipsProvide full support to Sales teams & account managersProvide feedback to management, maintain accurate purchasing records.Participate in stocktake twice yearlyAny other duties that may be required from time to time to fulfil your roleAs the successful candidate you will have experience with the following: Ability to multi-taskExceptional attention to detailGreat organisational skillsAbility to work under pressureProficient in Outlook and ExcelBe a team player, but also be self-motivatedWhat we offer: Harvey Norman is a strong advocate of career progression with a wide support network for professional developmentAn environment where good performance is recognised and rewardedA flexible and positive work environmentIf this opportunity sound like it's for you then, Apply Now!
