Are you looking for a role to develop your procurement expertise? A vacancy has become available in our Indirects Procurement team, for a Procurement Specialist maternity cover position. The Procurement Specialist will provide procurement support for categories including Hotel Services (Catering, Waste, Linen, Cleaning), Utilities and Professional services across our national portfolio.This role will also manage our national contracts register and provide guidance regarding contract and policy compliance to the procurement & supply chain team as well as key stakeholders across our corporate and hospital network.
Based in our Corporate Head office in Melbourne, with the flexibility of hybrid working, you will be part of the Procurement and Supply Chain team for Australia's second largest private Hospital group.

Be part of a large procurement team for a national private hospital group Enjoy flexible work life balance with hybrid working As Procurement Specialist – Indirects, your responsibilities will include: Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet business needs and participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes Assist with the analysis of internal and external spend data to determine baseline, tender responses and price reviews to determine potential benefits Validate stakeholder business needs, compile and source market information, and assist in analysing markets and assessing risk to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions Implement and contribute to the development of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance and negotiate contract variations through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes Provide advice, information and guidance on procurement related matters to internal stakeholders to provide governance and support good practice in procurement Culture: A supportive team culture, with a variety of skills and expertise across the Procurement and Supply Chain team. Come and be the difference in our patient's lives . Criteria: This is a development role and will take into consideration previous experience and the opportunity to develop in the role: · Experience in contract management and sourcing processes
· Hotel services experience – catering contracts, cleaning, waste
· Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers
· Experience in development of basic analysis of spend using simple tools and spreadsheets to identify trends and assess changes in demand ((Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
· Knowledge of the different routes to market and determining which is the most appropriate i.e. RFx*, negotiation, e-auction etc.
· Experience in preparing procurement documentation which is professional, well-structured and concise, uses appropriate language and contains relevant information
· Ability to identify areas of non-compliance to procurement policy and raise with relevant stakeholders
· Demonstrate professional, ethical and respectful behaviour and teamwork at all times in accordance with our core values and code of conduct.
· Participate in relevant meetings, committees
