Coolamon is currently seeking a highly enthusiastic and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team based in Coolamon, NSW.

What you'll be doing?
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the supply chain and procurement of goods to meet our operational needs including:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels ensuring stock availability to meet operational demands. Create internal work orders to support the production of goods within the manufacturing facility. End to end purchasing of direct and indirect procurement items. Ensure accurate delivery dates are maintained on purchase orders. Monitor outstanding purchase orders, expedite deliveries as required, and update management with any supply issues. Monitor internal work orders to ensure completion within the required time frame. Proactively maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that the supply of goods is reliable, and quality of goods is of a high standard at the best price. Explore new opportunities and source competitive pricing. Maintain master data including but not limited to, bill of materials, manufacturing routings, supplier information, pricing, lead time, and purchased goods information. Provide administration support to the Procurement Manager. Assist accounts with any issues when finalizing EOM statements. What we are looking for?
2-3 years of minimum experience in a similar role. Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite is desirable, but not essential). Self-motivated, highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Strong sense of urgency and sound time management skills. Ability to multi-task, plan ahead, handle pressure of short notice deadlines with good problem-solving skills. A positive teamwork approach and proactive relationship building and communication skills. Proven knowledge or experience in steel manufacturing and/or agriculture is desirable.
