Due to recent expansion, we have an opportunity for a Purchasing Officer in our Brandt Head Office in Ballarat.
Brandt is looking for a supply chain management professional to play a key role in our Purchasing group. Reporting to the VP of Finance and as part of the Brandt global procurement team the Purchasing Officer will oversee MRO procurement in both Australia and New Zealand. The Purchasing Officer is tasked with ensuring that Brandt achieves best value in terms of price, quality, reliability and delivery in all transactions through effective management of the supplier relationship.

This role involves considerable interaction with various business segments that Brandt operates. The individual we're looking for will have built a career around understanding the numerous elements involved in the purchase of contract services and consumables and have a proven record of leveraging strategic relationships to drive value. Success in the role will be achieved through the application of strategic purchasing concepts, and through effective management of the global relationships required to satisfy operational demands.
About you:
5 or more years of MRO procurement. Expertise in the strategic purchasing of various commodities related to maintenance, repair and operations. Experience with RFPs, purchase and service contracts, including those in the construction industry. Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Extensive experience in ERP systems, and working knowledge of MS Office software, esp. Excel, Word, PowerPoint. What We Offer:
