About the role: The Public Support Information Officer is located in the in the Police Enquiry Service unit, which is responsible for updating and releasing of highly sensitive information in a very busy environment. Every enquiry or task is performed in accordance with strict guidelines, and the area plays an important role in ensuring the integrity of information recorded on Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) and other force databases.

Your duties will include: Undertaking the preparation, checking and updating of criminal history and other information onto corporate databases. Providing timely and accurate advice in accordance with established policies and procedures. Liaising with various members of the Department, Victoria Police and other stakeholders. As the successful applicant, you will have: Good oral and written communication skills. Experience in data entry and records management. Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess the accuracy and completeness of information in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ability to self-manage multiple workloads at once and meet prescribed deadlines. Proficiency with the use of computer software (incl. Microsoft Office suite) and electronic databases. Requirements and relevant information: One full-time fixed term position available until 19/05/2025. This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).
