We are looking for a senior PR professional based in Australia to join our Global PR team. You will report to the Global Head of Communications based in the US, but will work day-to-day with your AU-based marketing and sales teams to increase awareness of Anker's lifestyle brands. This includes ANKER, the world's #1 mobile charging brand; Eufy, one of Australia's most popular smart home brands; Soundcore, our smart audio brand, and more.
Your responsibilities will include creating, selling-in and executing regional PR programs in Australia that leverage media, events, and other paid and earned opportunities to support product launches and long-term brand building. You will manage agency partners and maintain a steady drumbeat of media, as well as find creative ways to connect more directly with consumers.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely Australia sales and marketing teams to develop campaigns and launches across all of Anker's brandsCollaborate closely with Global PR and Marketing on larger moments such as global launches, global trade shows, and partnershipsManage our local agency relationshipsDevelop creative campaigns and storylines that elevate Anker and its various brands through a steady drumbeat of press coverage around product launches, seasonal moments, data-driven lists, and trend reports.Maintain a strong network of internal partners across various teams throughout Anker to identify and leverage opportunities for consumer PR.Build and maintain strong relationships with national and local consumer media, as well as lifestyle press.Provide support for other corporate communication initiatives, including crisis, executive positioning, and CSR What it takes to succeed:
5+ years of experience: mix of consumer agency and in-house at a known consumer brand preferred.Results-driven: know what outcomes you're aiming for and how to measure success, to share your successful work within the team and the company.Experience in consumer products (consumer tech a plus) and an understanding of the unique challenges of getting consumer media's attention with stories vs. product pitchesCreative communicator: exceptional writer and fearless creative strategist who loves using gadgets.Experienced leader: experience managing direct reports and agency partners, and leading cross-functional teamsCollaborative team player: effectively and diplomatically present your ideas and advance an idea.Media-savvy storyteller: sound judgment and experience managing stories with top-tier press, as well as national broadcast segments. Build out a story and have a proven track record for landing impactful features.Relationship-driven: built relationships with national consumer media, including print and broadcast, and not afraid to pick up the phone to pitch and get feedback. This is a full-time position in Australia.
