About the role The Public Affairs Manager is responsible for the development of long-term proactive and reactive media strategies as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with metropolitan and regional media.
The role provides timely and high-quality advice to the Chief Magistrate and Chief Executive Officer in relation to media engagement strategies and issues management and works closely with staff engaged in Intranet and website management, digital strategy and internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic media and public affairs initiatives, representing the organisation in high-profile engagements and shaping long-term media relations.Provide expert leadership and guidance to a small media team, managing complex and high-pressure media enquiries in a fast-paced environment.Play a key role in crisis communication, navigating reputational risks and collaborating closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders.About you A relevant tertiary qualification in communication, public relations or related discipline, or relevant experience in media and or communications.Some knowledge of the justice or similar system would be desirable, but is not mandatory.How to apply Click the 'Apply Now' button, ensuring you include the following in your application:
