Public Policy And Communications Manager

Applications are being managed by Roberts Walters - ****** and ****** Position Purpose  Manage Adelaide Airport's public policy and corporate affairs matters.  Key Accountabilities  Role Accountabilities  Execute and manage AAL's Corporate Affairs Strategy and policy agenda  Facilitate the development of aviation policy with input from the executive team  Develop AAL's responses to industry research  Manage AAL's approach to monitoring, influencing and directing potential changes to legislation, regulation and aviation policy  Lead and prepare submissions to government and industry  Prepare formal correspondence with government ministers and departments in relation to policy issues or any other matter  Structure and mange AALs relationships and information flow with all levels of federal, state and local government   Manage industry associations such as the Australian Airports Association, Tourism and Transport Forum, the Freight Council and Property Council  Manage stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs matters  Provide written communications, including drafting of AAL's Integrated Report  Lead and draft public documentation promoting AAL including award submissions and Plane Talk publication.  General Responsibilities  Embed Customer Service in your attitudes and actions  Contribute to a safe, healthy and discrimination free workplace.  Comply with WHS Responsibility Guidelines.  Comply with Environmental policy  Live the AAL values  A Be ACCOUNTABLE and AUTHENTIC    I Conduct ourselves with INTEGRITY  R Be RESPONSIVE, efficient and RESPECTFUL   P Take PRIDE in our achievements   O Be OPEN and friendly and encourage diversity   R Build RELATIONSHIPS based on trust   T Foster great TEAMS  Qualifications  Essential  Policy, communications or stakeholder relations experience  Degree in communications, politics or related disciplines.  Desirable   The following will be helpful for the role but not necessary:  Established relationships with government and opposition  Experience  Essential  Minimum 8 years post qualification experience  Desirable  The following will be helpful for the role but not necessary:  Exposure to aviation issues and/or a demonstrated passion for aviation.
