Provide statewide leadership in public health nutrition consistent with State and National policy.Participate in and lead the development and implementation of whole-of-government food and nutrition policy, regulation, and programs.Liaise with national bodies and represent Tasmania on government/national committees.Provide expert public health nutrition advice to stakeholders across various sectors.Advise on the nutritional implications of food regulation and standards.Details of AppointmentPermanent, part-time position working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.Salary:
$139,492 - $147,192 per annum. Includes 11.5% superannuation contribution.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Tertiary qualification relevant to the position.Eligible for membership with a relevant professional association.Desirable criteria include:Minimum 8 years professional experience in a relevant field.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job must satisfy a pre-employment check.Conviction checks in the following areas:Crimes of violenceSex-related offencesSerious drug offencesCrimes involving dishonestyDisciplinary action in previous employment check.How to Apply
