Flexible working arrangements Role that makes a difference Expected start Feb 2025 The Public Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing life-changing scholarships to young people in public education and enhancing the value and reputation of public schools.
The Foundation works in collaboration with schools, communities, unions, business and government to help students achieve their full potential and support teaching and learning excellence in the public education system.
The Acting Scholarship Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations and delivery of PEF's scholarship program.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing scholarship information kits for upload onto PEF website. Preparing and testing application forms using PEF's online scholarship application software, SurveyMonkey Apply PEF Apply. Phone and email assistance for scholarship applicants, carers and referees. High level communication with internal and external stakeholders including Directors of the board, students, school teachers, principals and support staff and Senior executives from the NSW DoE. Delivering speeches and presentations on behalf of the Foundation at events. Monitoring scholarship application numbers and contacting appropriate schools/people to promote certain scholarships. Provide written Scholarship Updates for PEF Board Updates meetings. Undertake initial reviews of scholarship applications. Supporting panel members with their use of the SurveyMonkey Apply system. Recording panel results in PEF Apply, HubSpot etc. Automating correspondence with scholarship applicants and schools. Ongoing maintenance of the SurveyMonkey Apply system. Streamlining the scholarship application process from a student, a school, educators and principals. Documenting, and regularly updating, the scholarship process to provide PEF with a Scholarship Administrator's Manual. Running the nomination process for the annual Public Education Awards on behalf of the NSW Department of Education. Assisting with multiple events each year. Providing reports on scholarship function when required by team, the CEO and the PEF Board. Adhere to the PEF Vision Statement, Values and Goals. About You
Previous experience in scholarship program management preferred. Ability to work and collaborate in a small team environment. Ability to consistently provide high quality service, anticipate the needs of others and improve service levels. Demonstrated experience streamlining processes and procedures. Ability to plan and coordinate outreach activities targeting schools and community groups. Experience delivering presentations. Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to maintain high level and written and oral communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Extensive experience collaborating with various partner organisations. Ability to organise own work in a way that maximises the achievement of results, and to identify opportunities and problems before they occur and plan accordingly. Computer literate and well advanced in learning and using new business enterprise systems, including O365 suite, in particular Word and Excel, CRMs and online software. High level, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Previous experience in the public education system across Australia preferred. Must have a valid WWCC or be willing to get one prior to start date.
