The Role We are currently looking for an experienced Physiotherapist Assistant to join the team at Peter Arney Home in Salter Point. Permanent part-time opportunity working 42 hours per fortnight.
Week 1 & 2 Monday: 07:30 - 15:00
Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
Key responsibilities: Plan and organise therapeutic activities under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist, Manager and/or Registered Nurse.Prepare and conduct resident activities correctly and safely.Maintain records, statistics, and progress notes as required by the Physiotherapist.Observe residents' responses to treatment programs and report findings to the Physiotherapist and/or Registered Nurse.Contribute information to resident assessment and personal care evaluation.Assist with mobilising and transferring residents – moving from place to place and position to position.Assist with residents' personal care needs to ensure resident safety, comfort, and satisfactory completion of planned programs.About you As a Physiotherapist Assistant, you will build strong, positive relationships with our residents and be responsible for providing mobility and exercise programs and performing delegated resident treatment plans under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist and in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, and framework of Amana Living. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Amana Living's award-winning model of care and be committed to making a real difference to residents' quality of life.
