Listed By: Government of South Australia, Department for Child Protection on 15 Oct 2024Provisional psychologists (Masters Students) who are completing their studies in 2024 are also encouraged to applyMultiple ongoing and term vacancies up to 12 monthsAHP1 ($68,478 - $83,594 p.a.) / AHP2 ($88,255 - $102,240 p.a.) +11.5% SuperRole Status: Multiple Ongoing and Term Vacancies up to 12 monthsThe Department for Child Protection is seeking multiple Psychologists and Senior Psychologists to join on a term and ongoing basis.The roles are responsible for:Conducting evidence-based, efficient and independent clinical psychological assessments of clients.Designing and implementing therapeutic programs that are culturally appropriate and address the presenting issues, individual factors, and unique context of clients.Working closely with the Principal Psychologist to ensure psychologists provide effective and efficient clinical psychological assessments and where appropriate, the provision of therapy to clients.Participating in the development and delivery of training to staff, carers, and external agencies.Consulting, supporting, and leading Psychologists and Psychology Masters students by overseeing and monitoring quality of work undertaken.About YouWe are looking for confident individuals who have an understanding of the effect of abuse and neglect on children and young people and the factors that place families at risk.You will have experience in the use of psychological diagnostic techniques and implementation of therapeutic interventions.To be considered at the higher level of classification, you will be experienced in providing clinical leadership, fostering professional development, and identifying and meeting training needs.You will also have knowledge of areas such as the effects of abuse and neglect on children and young people, child development, psychological disorders and interventions, and clinical and forensic assessment techniques.If you have an interest in working with us to create a positive impact that can change outcomes for families at risk, then we'd love to hear from you.About the BusinessThe Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people, and their families within South Australia.
