Metropolitan South Region is looking for qualified general or provisional registered psychologists who have a passion to work with students, parents, carers, and school communities. We are seeking psychologists who are interested in working in Secondary or Primary school settings in various locations in the Brisbane East West, Ipswich, and Lockyer Valley areas.

About the Role: As a specialist member of a multi-disciplinary team working in a school, you will connect with students, staff, parents, carers, and the broader community.
This position provides services such as counselling, assessment, and intervention, focusing on students' mental health and wellbeing.

The FTE is negotiable with both full-time and part-time fractions available and open to consideration with the successful applicants.
Responsibilities include: Individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents, and families.Support and manage diagnoses from external providers, monitoring students' progress.Assist school communities to respond to critical incidents and provide counselling and support to affected students.Identify needs and participate in the referral and planning of services for children, parents, and families to community health agencies.Complete the minimum requirements for 30 hours of professional development activities annually in line with the Psychology Board of Australia registration standards.Mandatory requirements: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification in Psychology and general registration with AHPRA.If a new graduate, must hold provisional registration with AHPRA with a supervision plan approved by the Psychology Board of Australia prior to the commencement of employment.Interested?
