Your role As part of the Psychological and Specialist Service team, you will work to deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and other professional services to DCJ client groups including children, young people, families, and carers. You will also provide specialist consultation to caseworkers and managers and assist in the development of trauma-informed case plans. DCJ Psychologists are considered to be Therapeutic Specialists who are clinical experts in trauma informed therapeutic care.
Specialises in trauma informed therapeutic assessment and intervention, utilising evidence-based approaches for children, young people, and families. Based on assessment and formulation, develops, and implements treatment plans for children, young people, families, and carers. Equips staff through training and reflective practice sessions. Provides specialist consultation to guide casework practice. We are currently advertising for two positions, one sitting within our Western, Far West and Murrumbidgee District Psychology Team and the other in our Western LINKS Trauma Healing Service Multidisciplinary Team.
What we're looking for Tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either: Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or Provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within the relevant timeframes. Knowledge of theoretical and therapeutic frameworks that underpin assessment and intervention in the context of child abuse/neglect/trauma. Current driver's licence as travelling will be required.
