Provisional Psychologist/Psychologist/Specialist Psychologist/Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist Location: Queanbeyan Full-time Ongoing Opportunity $74,302 - $144,594 p.a. + superannuation and annual leave loading Excellent working conditions including 35-hour week, flexible working hours, balance of in-person and work from home arrangements, professional development opportunities and generous leave provisions. Your role As part of the Psychological and Specialist Services team, you will work to deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions and other professional services to DCJ client groups including children, young people, families and carers. You will also provide specialist consultation to caseworkers and managers and assist in the development of trauma-informed case plans. DCJ Psychologists are considered to be Therapeutic Specialists who are clinical experts in trauma informed therapeutic care.
Specialises in trauma informed therapeutic assessment and intervention Based on assessment and formulation, develop and implement treatment plans for children, young people, families and carers. Equips staff through training and reflective practice sessions. Provides specialist consultation to guide casework practice. The role is open to psychologists with general registration, registered psychologists with endorsements and those who are provisionally registered. Supervision and training provided internally as part of your employment.
While the location is based at Queanbeyan, travel may be required to other offices within the district and meetings with clients at various sites including many clients residing in Canberra. Please note a driver's license is required for this position and work car provided for travel.

What we're looking for Tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either:Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or Provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within the relevant timeframes. Knowledge of theoretical and therapeutic frameworks that underpin assessment and intervention in the context of child abuse/neglect/trauma. Current driver's licence as travelling will be required.
