We are looking for a Psychologist to join our small aMAZEin' private practice team. We focus on delivering Educational and Developmental Psychology assessment and intervention services to clients across the lifespan. Newly graduated Psychologists are welcome to apply.
Working in an environment that embraces a supportive, nurturing, person-centred, and "growth mindset" attitude – we're here to foster your professional growth and sense of belonging, not burn you out to a crisp!Generous pay that is above the Health Professionals and Support Services Award (MA000027) standardsFlexible scheduling, including WFH options where appropriateFlexible and negotiable annual leaveRegular supervision provided by the Clinic Director (Ed&Dev endorsed with PhD)Scheduling and payments (reception) all handled by clinicAmple parking availableAdmin time is carved out in your appointments and schedule to ensure you have adequate time for note taking, communications, archiving, report writing etc.Mandatory Requirements: Registration with AHPRA as PsychologistWorking With Children Check – Employee VersionProfessional Indemnity InsuranceFully vaccinated (boosted) for COVID-19Eligible to work in AustraliaNecessary Characteristics & Skills: Excellent communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to consult, liaise, and negotiate with clients; colleagues; and third-party agencies, organisations, or professionals;Expert writing skills for communication report writing, documenting case notes, and other professional dutiesWell-organised;Competence in treatment planning and evidence-based psychology interventionsAbility to work effectively individually and in a team without overt supervision;Consolidated knowledge of, and adherence to, the APS Code of Ethics and Ethical GuidelinesClient and relationship-oriented;Enthusiastic and conscientious;Ability to be part of a dynamic team;Time-management skills; andBasic computer skills.Physical Demands: Ability to work at a computer for long periods;Ability to adapt a variety of body postures including prolonged sitting, standing, reaching overhead/forward, bending of back, squatting and rotation of neck;Ability to climb up and down a flight of stairs to access the workplace;Ability to lift/carry parcels of up to 5 kg for short distances;Ability to work in environments of variable noise levels or temperatures;Ability to assess whether Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for activities and to wear as appropriate.Key Responsibilities: Providing a full range of psychological services, including counselling and psychological assessment, to clients obtaining services from our workplace location(s);Abiding by Australian law and the Australian Psychological Society's Code of Ethics and Ethical Guidelines while working for and representing us;Working collaboratively as a member of the team of psychologists at aMAZEin' Minds Psychology to build a supportive peer supervision and professional network;Providing and maintaining client welfare service delivery, as appropriate within the scope of the psychological service contracted to be provided;Individual case management (including appropriate recording, archiving, and destruction of records processes);Reporting to any designated supervisor or manager on a basis that is indicated, required, or reasonably appropriate;Attending staff meetings for administrative and peer supervision purposes; andRemaining aware of our current Policies and Procedures and abiding by these at all times.Key Duties: Individual counselling, therapy, or intervention;Psychological assessment;Liaison with relevant staff and outside agencies, as appropriate;Case management, including administrative, legal, and ethical responsibilities as defined by relevant professional organisations and authorities; andConsultations with groups, families, or external professionals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
