Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
Role Overview: As the Medical Receptionist , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. You will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing patient appointments, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the reception area. This position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.Handle incoming calls and emails, providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.Process billing and payments, including Medicare and NDIS payments.Assist with the coordination of specialist referrals and follow-up appointments.Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming.Adhere to all practice policies and procedures, including confidentiality and privacy regulations.Excellent written and spoken communication skills Qualifications and Experience: At least 1 year experience working in a medical receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a paediatric or specialist practice.Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of Medicare and NDIS billing processes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.A team-oriented approach and the willingness to take on a mentoring role for junior staff Benefits: Supportive and collaborative team environment.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Convenient location, with on site parkingJob and roster flexibilityOffering long term positionWork in a rewarding and fulfilling role, making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families Job commencement: As soon as possible but can be flexible for the right candidate
