The Role Join us in writing the next chapter of this role. We are currently seeking a new proposals engineer within our sales team to ensure that we are suitably equipped to support our expanding customer base.
Our direct sales business model is at the heart of what we do and is unique in our field. Our teams have a deep understanding of our customer's operational and process challenges, and the expertise and specialist knowledge to design bespoke engineered solutions.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will be part of a specialist technical team working directly with our customers, interpreting, and understanding their needs and providing guidance on value-based solutions to suit their application.
This is a full-time position, based in Coffs Harbour, NSW, with our customer base Australia wide and throughout Asia Pacific regions.
Key Responsibilities Create comprehensive proposals, including technical and commercial components, in response to client requests and RFQs. Conduct accurate project calculations, including cost estimates, timelines, and resource needs, to align with project requirements. Evaluate commercial and contractual documents with sharp analytical insight, ensuring timely completion with strategic precision. Provide technical guidance to clients on product or solution options and assist in refining proposals to meet their needs. Technically competent and with a logical mindset, typically with a mechanical/electrical trade or engineering qualification. Proficient in using calculation software with willingness to learn new software to perform job functions as necessary. Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and technical documentation. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards. Quick and self-motivated learner with an inquisitive mind – all training will be provided across our specialist range of products. Analytical ability to assess technical and commercial feasibility, balance multiple project requirements, and identify potential risks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical and commercial information to internal teams and clients. Work with engineering teams to ensure proposal accuracy and that technical specifications are feasible.
